Why are you running for office? I've had a life of public service and look forward to continuing to work with the citizens of my district and the state of Maine to help keep us moving in a positive direction.

The federal health care law has offered to pay states to expand their Medicaid programs to provide health coverage to low income Mainers. Do you support Medicaid (or MaineCare) expansion?No

Maine can not afford to take care of the people we have on Medicare now let alone add more.

Reform of the state’s public assistance programs has been the focus of debates in the State House and on the campaign trail. Do you believe that the state’s welfare programs are too generous?Other

What, if anything, would you change about welfare?I think that anyone qualified to receive public assistance should get the help they need but we need to prevent abuse of the system and EBT fraud.

Do you support raising the state’s minimum wage from $7.50 an hour?Other

Please explain your position on the minimum wage.I think that a big increase in minimum wage could have a negative impact causing a lose of jobs , but maybe it could be tied to inflation going on a more gradual bases.
