Why are you running for office? I'm an eighth generation Farmer on the same family farm I've got to watch what has happened to it, over the last forty years. I was complaining one day to my grandfather and he said son you have a choice to make you can either be part of the problem or part of the solution. The only way to be part of the solution is to get involved so here I am a State Representative proud to be working on making Maine a better place to live for mine and your children. I want to try to make sure yours and my children have a reason to stay in Maine. That's why I hope to continue to work for the people of Maine.

The federal health care law has offered to pay states to expand their Medicaid programs to provide health coverage to low income Mainers. Do you support Medicaid (or MaineCare) expansion? No
I voted against Medicaid expansion. It is not right to expand medical welfare for able-bodied adults, when we need our resources (taxpayer dollars) for the elderly and disabled who really need the help.
Reform of the state’s public assistance programs has been the focus of debates in the State House and on the campaign trail. Do you believe that the state’s welfare programs are too generous?Yes
What, if anything, would you change about welfare?I truly believe that welfare is a necessity almost everyone at one point and time in their life needs a helping hand myself included. I believe that welfare benefits should not be paid too illegal aliens just for the reason it says illegal. I also believe there needs to be more bite into the abuse of benefits such as when used to buy cigarettes , alcohol, lottery tickets etc. so I would propose legislation again to put more bite into illegal use of benefits .
Do you support raising the state’s minimum wage from $7.50 an hour?No
Please explain your position on the minimum wage.I am against raising the minimum wage. Raising the minimum wage hurts small businesses and makes it harder for people to find jobs, especially teens and people seeking entry-level jobs, or jobs in new fields. It’s one of those things that sounds good on the surface, but has negative effects.
Would you support legalization of marijuana?Other
Please explain your position on legalization?I am personal against the legalization of marijuana, but this is America so I would support sending the question out to the voters and giving the people the chance to decide. And support their decision.
