Why are you running for office? I'm running for office because I'm sick of paying twice the healthcare costs per person than the world pays. I'm sick of jobs being shipped to China. I'm running because I'm sick of the poor and the middle class getting the short end of the stick by the powerful.

Poltical Experience:

Chairman of Hampden Democrats.

The federal health care law has offered to pay states to expand their Medicaid programs to provide health coverage to low income Mainers. Do you support Medicaid (or MaineCare) expansion?Yes

Mainers pay taxes to the federal government and I support getting this money back by allowing the federal government to fund healthcare for 70,000 Mainers. It's a no brainer. The only reason why people oppose it is because of fundamentalism as opposed to pragmatism.

Reform of the state’s public assistance programs has been the focus of debates in the State House and on the campaign trail. Do you believe that the state’s welfare programs are too generous?Other

What, if anything, would you change about welfare? The fraud rate for welfare is extremely small. A system cannot deny people healthcare, keep education expensive, and replace good paying manufacturing jobs to China and replace them with poverty wages in the service industry and not expect the rise in welfare. I would change the welfare system where there is a strong incentive to work and reduce incentives to have more children.

Do you support raising the state’s minimum wage from $7.50 an hour?Other

Please explain your position on the minimum wage.I want to raise the minimum wage on big box stores with worldwide sales of a billion dollars or more to $10 hourly and then index that inflation using the average between CPI and M2.

Would you support legalization of marijuana?Yes

Please explain your position on legalization? The war against our citizens has been costly and expensive. Marijuana should be taxes and regulated like cigarettes. Hemp should be allowed to use in an industrial capacity as well to help Maine's economy.
